This WHARC Strategic Plan builds on the gains of our first ten years while seeking to re-position WHARC to respond better to existing and emerging challenges. To this end, we used our strategic review and planning process to assure our organization’s ability to focus and gain greater institutional and program effectiveness during the next five-year period and beyond. The strategic review and planning process has widened and strengthened the consensus on the mission of WHARC, internally and among our many stakeholders (government, NGOs within and outside SRH, the private sector and donors). It has shown how we can better attune the organization to its changing internal and external environments, for better performance and greater success. Moreover, the process has clarified our options for embarking on the critical actions necessary to remain at the leading edge of knowledge and data necessary for advocating changes and designing services to improve the health and social well being of women and young people.
