A recent study puts available data that sexually transmitted infections and steadily increase rate of HIV constitutes great medical, social and economic problems in Nigeria and in most part of the world. Apart from the heavy affliction of urban dwellers, there is rapid excursion of these infections to the rural areas as well. This situation is serious enough to attract attention from every one so that necessary control measures would be initiated in good time in order to avert the serious consequences of the epidemic in Nigeria.
